Golfers swing into action at top Surrey course for KSS

Golfers from across the South East will be swinging into action at the exclusive Foxhills Golf Club at Ottershaw, Surrey, on Monday 13 May to take part in our annual Golf Day.

The prestigious Foxhills course, known for hosting PGA and EuroPro events, will be the setting for an action-packed day of golf, competitions, awards and some great food and drink. A team of our crew members will be taking part and former patient Paul Maycock, whose life we saved, will be attending.

After breakfast and an opportunity to warm up on the driving range, teams of four will play an 18-hole Stableford competition with live app scoring and competitions such as longest drive, chip to the helmet and nearest to the pin. New for this year will be a `Beat the Captain’ game where players will be challenged to hit the ball further than Foxhills’ Club Captain Ian Howick.

Afterwards they’ll enjoy a two-course lunch back at the clubhouse and hear from Dr Malcolm Tunnicliffe, one of our HEMS doctors, who will deliver a talk on ‘thriving under pressure’, offering invaluable insights for those keen on enhancing team dynamics in the workplace. Golfers will also hear more about our lifesaving team and how we bring specialised doctors, paramedics and treatment to the scene, fast, 24/7, 365 days a year.

Chloe Prater, our Events Coordinator, said: “We’re inviting golfers to swing into action this May by getting a team together and helping us save lives on and off the course. We’ve responded to 91 emergencies around golf courses in the last seven years, providing our lifesaving care to patients involving cardiac arrests, collapses, falls and injuries.

“We have limited spaces left for this very special event, which offers a fantastic opportunity for keen golfers to tick one of the best courses in the country off their bucket list.  Please make sure to book your team now! If you are keen to join but don’t have a full team, let us know and we’ll help match you with fellow golfers.”
