Become a Home Hero and raise vital funds from your very own living room, bedroom, balcony or garden.
The 2.6 challenge is a new fundraising campaign, recently launched by the organisers of mass-participation sports events across the country, to help minimise the loss of income charities will see as a result of events being cancelled or postponed due to coronavirus.
We’re inviting you, your friends, families and colleagues to get involved in the 2.6 challenge – now’s the time to get your thinking caps on.
Launching on Sunday 26 April, which would have been the 40th London Marathon, take on your chosen activity and we will be virtually cheering you on!
- Come up with your 2.6 (or 26) challenge - This is where you get the chance to be creative!
Share your challenge with friend, family, colleagues – encourage them to support you or come up with their own challenge
Complete your challenge
This campaign is open to everyone. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Walk or run 26 miles or 2.6k of your garden
- Skip for 26 minutes non-stop
- Challenge yourself to eat 26 items within a set amount of times
- Do 260 star jumps
- Put 26 layers of clothing on
The only rules are that you should ensure you follow government guidelines surrounding exercise and social distancing.
Once you’ve signed up, a member of our Community Team will be in touch to discuss your chosen activity.
Thank you for your support and good luck.
