The Power of Volunteering

Last week, the NHS launched their Community Volunteer Responders scheme which was described as an absolutely critical step to coordinate a movement of people coming together to support both our NHS and the most vulnerable people in our communities. Already, over 750,000 individuals have put themselves forward, in addition to the thousands who are already showing kindness and support by devoting their time to voluntary activities.

By sacrificing our liberties of freedom of movement and socialising, we are helping to protect ourselves, our NHS, and each other. Our NHS is demonstrating on a daily basis how it is there for all of us when we need it most. It is our duty to show our thanks, consideration and care to those staff who are sacrificing so much for our benefit.
