Gifts in memory

A Gift in Memory can be a unique way to remember the life of someone important to you. It’s traditional to give flowers at a funeral or memorial service but often people choose to commemorate the life of a special person by requesting donations to a cause close to their heart.

Organising a funeral can be immensely stressful and the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance is indebted to those who choose to support us in such a positive way, at such a very difficult time.

Most funeral directors will help you to collect donations in lieu of flowers, handling the administration for you and ensuring they are passed on to the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.

We can also provide discreet donation envelopes to distribute to family and friends attending the service, or to be passed to them at a later date. You can return the envelopes to us or you may wish to instruct the funeral director to collect them and forward on to us. If you would like us to send you donation envelopes please call 01634 471 900 or email

Alternatively, you may like to send cheques made payable to Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust directly to our head office. Please include your name and address so that we may send you a receipt and also your loved one’s name, so that we may attribute any further donations in their memory.

You may like to know that we will then include your loved one’s name in the monthly “In Memoriam” sections of the Kent Messenger and Wealden Advertiser. If you would like us to provide you with a copy, do please let us know and we can send this to you.

Perhaps you would also like to create a Memorial page through Facebook Fundraising, where family and friends can be invited to make online donations and leave personal messages. To find out more about this please click here.
