According to statistics from the charity Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex (AAKSS) knife crime is becoming a part of everyday shifts for AAKSS crew members. Since 2013, the paramedics and doctors of AAKSS have responded to over 400 critical knife crime related call outs.

In a world first, Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex (AAKSS) can now live stream patient data directly from the helicopter to the hospital it’s heading to and to its consultants wherever they are, thanks to a partnership with health technology leaders Philips RDT.

King's College Hospital has become the first Major Trauma Centre in London to be granted permission for air ambulances to land at night as well as during daylight hours. The new development will ensure patients receive the same level of timely care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
