An important update from Team KSS – Covid-19

January 2021

Stay Home, Protect the NHS, save lives

We have made some changes to our services, in response to the national lockdown introduced on 4th January 2021.

Our service delivery teams

Our Redhill base remains closed to visitors and non-operational staff, to protect our crews, our service and ultimately our patients. This means we are still unable to offer patient visits and in-person tours of our base.

Our priority remains responding to the sickest or most critically injured across our regions in their hour of need. In addition, we are also continuing to work closely with our NHS partners, to support with the transfer of critically ill Coronavirus patients where possible, as and when required.

Our fundraising and support teams

Our Rochester Base also remains closed to visitors and most of our Income Generation, Marketing, Communications and Corporate Services teams are continuing to work from home.  Because of this, it may take a little longer to respond to telephone and postal enquiries so please bear with us. We are still here for our supporters, stakeholders and communities.  The best way to reach us is by emailing hello@aakss.org.uk.

Our volunteer activities

Our volunteer activities which involve face to face contact, such as delivering talks in person and picking up collection boxes is still on pause. Our fantastic volunteers have been giving virtual talks though and we have a fantastic story to tell, which we want to share with you, especially during these challenging times.

Our lottery

Our lottery canvassing programme is on pause for the time being and we are reviewing this on a regular basis. You can read more about our lottery and sign up here.

Thank you

We would like to send our sincere thanks and appreciation for your continued support at this difficult time. Thanks to you we have been able to continue our life-saving care. Please be safe and continue to follow the government guidelines. Thank you.

Team KSS.
