Shoppers in Redhill and Horley raised almost £4,000 for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance in a raffle to win a car, which will be drawn later this month (March 31st)

Staff and volunteers for the life-saving charity sold tickets for its Win a Mini Draw at The Belfry Shopping Centre and Waitrose in Horley last month.

A grand total of £3,948.20 was raised in ticket sales and donations for the air ambulance, which relies almost entirely on public support to keep it flying.

James Cook, Head of Lotteries & Gaming, said: “We are extremely grateful to Waitrose Horley for their continued support, and to The Belfry for giving us a new venue to connect with members of the public, and raise awareness of the fact that we are a charity.’.

“Anybody could have the need for our service, and it is important to us to spread the word about our crews’ advanced skills and expertise. We would like to thank the public for their tremendous support throughout this Mini promotion.”

Tickets for the Win a Mini Draw cost £5 each and can be purchased online at with the draw taking place on 31st March 2017, making it a perfect present for the summer months.
