National Blood Bike Awareness Day

Today is National Blood Bike Awareness Day.

Since the first delivery on 4th February 2013, SERV Kent - Bloodrunners and SERV - Surrey & South London have delivered around 26,368 units or 5,280 litres of blood to our bases at Marden and Redhill - enough to fill about 66 bath tubs.

Being able to administer blood and plasma products to the patient at the scene of an incident revolutionised our service and meant we could perform essential medical interventions that were not previously possible.

We are so incredibly grateful to the wonderful people within these organisations who volunteer their own time to make this possible - thank you.
