We are so sorry for your loss and send you our deepest condolences.
Whether your loved one has been directly affected by our work or whether the service we provide represents a cause close to their heart, making a donation in loving memory is a wonderful way for you, your family and friends to celebrate their life and honour them.
There are several ways for you to remember your loved one:
Make a gift in memory
Your gift will support people who need our help throughout Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Donate online
You can donate online, which will provide the option to make a one-off or monthly donation in their honour. If you feel comfortable to do so you can let us know who the donation is in memory of by selecting ‘In memory of someone’ as the donation reason and providing their name.
Call us
Our friendly Supporter Engagement team will be happy to help in any way that they can to make things as easy as possible for you. Call us on: 01634 471900
Send a letter
Please include a note with your details and let us know who the donation is in-memory of. Please make cheques payable to Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust and send them via our Freepost address: Freepost Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex
Set up a tribute page
A tribute page is a great way for family and friends to donate to our work in memory of your loved one while sharing tributes, stories, comments and photographs.
MuchLoved
Using MuchLoved you can create a tribute page where people can share pictures, videos and light candles in remembrance at no cost to you. A benefit is that the page will not be closed after a set amount of time, meaning you can review the messages people have left and celebrate anniversaries.
JustGiving
You can also create a tribute page on JustGiving, where you can share pictures, videos and stories, again at no cost to you.
You can set up a Facebook fundraising page in memory of a loved one or a donate button.
Funeral collections
Most funeral directors will help you collect donations in lieu of flowers, handling the administration for you and ensuring they are passed on to our charity. We can provide you donation envelopes to distribute to family and friends attending the service, or to be passed to them at a later date. You can return the envelopes to us or you may wish to instruct the funeral director to collect them and forward on to us.
To request collection envelopes please complete the form here.
Take on a Challenge
Some people prefer to take on a challenge to raise money in memory of their loved one.
Wendy, who lost her son Jack in 2016, took up running as a means of channelling her grief and to date has raised over £13,000 in Jack’s memory by taking part in a number of events. You can read her story here.
If you feel a challenge event might be the right avenue for you, you can view what events we have available here or contact us about your own event.

"The whole experience of Jack’s death, although so traumatic, made me realise just how important KSS is to our community. I’m doing what I can to help, in memory of my Jack."
A lasting legacy
You may also like to know that we will include your loved one’s name in the monthly In Memoriam section of the Kent Messenger. If you would like us to provide you with a copy, do please do get in touch and we will send this to you. If, however, you would not like us to include your loved one’s name in the Kent Messenger, then please get in touch to let us know.
We are incredibly grateful to those who choose to support us in such a positive way during such a difficult time. Thank you.
